If you're going then I shall see you thar as the classic Tifa Lockheart from original FF7 not Advent Children. (Not a smart choice seeing as it's effing freezing here! In retrospect, I should've chose the other one. .____________.;; )

As I said to one of my friends: Tom Felton. Will be felt on. By me. *seedy tiger growl*No. I joke. Don't arrest me.. yet. HARRRR!

And SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show will be next month (Saturday 16th of July) where I shall be volunteering in the Maid Cafe!
I'd have to say that I'm probably the odd maid out though; being the only one not in a wig, not in uni, not in anyone's social groups but thankfully most of the people are nice so I'm glad. *relieved sigh* Also, I'm apparently too tall to be average sized so originally I was supposed to be a butler but I had a maid costume bought for a cosplay already. (Not that I would mind being Sebastian a la Kuroshitsuji at all! :O )

Everyone will be dressed up in cutesy costumes and there will be food and drinks served as well as entertainment for $25 as a package. So come on down and get served by our lovely maids and butlers. :3

HOLY COW! It's been forever since I've blogged!
I know no one reads it but I feel bad for neglecting my only healthy way of venting and expressing myself. LOL

Update is imminent, no?
So as we speak (well.. type) I am contemplating on nomming another Venetian cookie but seem to be a little too full after my dinner of Warm Herb and Garlic Vegies, Mango & Honey Green Tea and 2 Venetian cookies already. Naughty... But yes, I am keeping relatively healthy still and sticking to my exercise regime also. I've upped my cardio to 45-60 minutes on certain days that I have the time for it and as for sit-ups the reps have gone up to 500-800. I have an elliptical crosstrainer in my room so I can watch movies while I do cardio. Tonight I shall watch Tangled! :3
You can see it in my tummy how much I've been keeping healthy; which is fantabulous as I have to cosplay as Tifa for Supernova and dress up for SMASH Maid Cafe (Yep! I auditioned and made it in out of 80 or so people).

I have left Cameron and relocated to various places; finally settling in Ashfield. As you have read from past entries and angry Facebook statuses it just wasn't going to work anymore. I'll just leave it at that; this is just a chapter of my life I don't feel the need to relive. Downside that not many people know also is that under the stress of that, a crucial friendship that went sour and being homeless... I fought a bout of bulimia for a while and am still recovering steadily. I purged myself of food until my stomach lining bled but now I do try my best to hold back vomiting and I saw a doctor about it.

I have also left Memorial Ave Vet Clinic; as much as I loved the place, the animals and the people, a better and fairer opportunity arose and I took it. Left on a bittersweet note. I do miss my lunches and workouts with pretty Miss. Joceline but one day I'm sure she'll also find something much better and brings her much more joy. I now work at Paddington Cat Hospital on Oxford St. in ze city. A long way from where I've grown up in the scummy Southwest Sydney suburbs of Liverpool, Fairfield and Cabramatta. I felt a little like a scared and uncivilised neanderthal when I first started there 3 months ago but now I think I've grown so much as a person and as a veterinary nurse that I'm glad I came out of my cave (Lulz!). My work is strict, organised, pedantic, very particular and just completely a different world from what I've previously learnt. Best thing about Paddington is the people are SO much more caring about their pets; as they should be and the shops around their are flippin' AWESOME! Our clinic is right between Bondi Junction and the city. Great food, great clothes, lots of gay clients (who are so so so nice) and exclusive bookstores. Just my kinda place. ^____________^

Wheeee! Time for an update!

So, how are you, my dearest blog (and possible readers)? I’ve missed you quite a bit, I’d have to admit. T’is amongst all the plans, unpacking belongings into the new home, juggling 2 jobs, studying for exams and sitting exams, my little sister graduating from highschool and telling my head teacher he’s a douche that the holidays have finally arrived and I have time to blog again.

I have good news: I’ve lost about a kilo and a bit since my healthy eating and exercise regime. And (thankfully) my tummy is a lot less squishy! :D
I’ve also learnt to love vegetables and embrace and cook more vegetable dishes. (Which makes life so much easier, seeing as hating vegetables in a vegetable-based eating plan just makes enjoying food virtually impossible.) Realistically though, I do eat red meat a once or twice a week. Coz I love it.

So this week’s dinner menu is:

Tonight: Morrocan Chicken with Roasted Sweet Potato and Sweet Rice Pudding for dessert.

Monday: Spicy Vegetarian Nuggets with Steamed Vegetables.

Tuesday: Teriyaki Salmon and Salad.

Wednesday: Creamy Mushroom and Prosciutto Pasta.

Thursday: Falafels with Tzaziki, Hummus, Tomato and Pita.

Friday: Dhal with Raita and Garlic Naan.

Saturday: Seafood Ramen!

Sunday: Dukka Crusted Lamb Roast and Salad.

Following Monday: Mushroom and Parmesan Risotto.

I’m also trying to convince my male counterpart, Cameron, that fast food is gross. I’ll lure him in by cooking all this stuff before he gets home so when he smells it he won’t even think of McDonald’s or KFC. LOLLLLL Or I should just put Panda Cheese on everything and offer him some. God help him if he refuses.

Oh! I need to put up photos from this Vietnamese Vegetarian Festival I went to in Chipping Norton with the ladies of my family. The food was better than I expected to be honest. Here are a few of my favourites:

Sydney. Set your motherfuckin' moral priorities straight.

Another harrowing day at the vet clinic.
Nearly always seems to be a Monday this stuff happens.

At lunchtime today, Joss and I were joking around and eating our fish and spring rolls as per usual in our lunchroom. Out of nowhere, this woman comes rushing into our clinic with a greasy semi-conscious cat that had a rope tightly tied around it's neck. Apparently this cat had been missing for 2 days and the owner had found it in this condition, tied up, nearly hanged from a tree.

A week ago in Glenfield, a 17-year-old cat named Harley was mutilated and severed in half then left on the owner's front lawn. Police suspect that it could've been linked to a similar crime committed 2 months ago.

The said crime that occured 2 months ago in Bankstown was that a cat named Snowy was taped down, had his ears cut off and his body lit on fire. I did more research into Snowy's case and found the photo of him before the torture and horrific burns.

Disturbing, right? More disturbing to yours truly is this:

This is Bubbles. There's no doubt that Snowy looks so uncannily like Bubbles; my best friend and loyal companion.

So it really does make you think. This could have happened to anyone's innocent unknowing pet cat. Possibly even an unsupervised child eventually. But you know what the government's response to this heinous act is? A "possible" maximum penalty of 5 years in jail. :)

FUCK OFF! Seriously?! Even people with just the mere possession of fucking drugs gets a longer jail sentence! That's fucking BULLSHIT! Since there is no death sentence here (rightfully so in case of mistakes in prosecution), I propose that the minimum jail term for torture/abuse and inhumane murder of an animal should be the equivalent of what a human's maximum sentence is PLUS the amount of years the animal has been alive. So in Harley's case the perp would've got 20 years plus 17 years for each year of that cat's age. 37 years all up. That'll teach these sick scum of the Earth!

Peh. I can only fantasize. It's not gonna happen. Australia doesn't even have a proper Government at this point. And Liverpool Council is burnt down. Fuck our lives.

What do we do now? Vigilante justice like Kick Ass? Yes please!

YAY! We had a BBQ today at our new place.

Because Cameron's friends helped us move all the furniture over.
I cooked and cleaned (with them) and they played Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Star Wars Monopoly and XBOX360. These guys are all over 20. LOL It's cute. I think it's good to be young at heart. It doesn't hurt anyone and I'd rather that they be here doing this than out at strip clubs or drinking. I've grown to really appreciate my nerdy Cameron and his friends.
Scott Pilgrim and girl's night next week! This is our housewarming but may become a regular thing. :3

I moved into the new place. Everything is brand new and I pay $300AUD per week. But the water system kinda sucks. I think there's a dead person in my water tank since the water keeps turning pus yellow to blood red. LOL Must be copper from the water tank. I watch too many scary movies. Anyone seen What Lies Beneath? I watched that as a kid and couldn't go to the bathroom by myself for the next 2-3 years... Anyhow, I had a shower today after TAFE and the water went weird again so I came out with eye make-up all effed; looking like some demon shit from The Grudge. Went to grab a jumper and I scared myself when I saw my reflection in the balcony window! Something needs to be done about this. I'm home alone a lot. =_____________=

The Sometimes Grim Reality Of Veterinary Nursing and 7 Things You Could Do To Save Your Pet.

Hi whoever is reading...

This is a serious entry for a change I guess. My blog's been a bit rainbows and lollipops lately but I've decided if this is a blog shown to express truly everything I'm passionate about I should include the darker aspects of life too. As you might or might not know, I'm studying to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse. (A good one at that; though clumsy and sometimes ditzy.)
Coming into the industry I knew there would be many distasteful things to consider; poop, diseases, cruel people, etc. but whilst putting up with these things are indeed worthwhile for the benefits of the animals, there are some things you didn't expect to hit you as hard as they do.
A few of these things being euthanasia, abortions, fatal mistakes by misdiagnosis and multiple deaths.

Today, a cute young pregnant English Staffy came in because she was way overdue and having difficulties giving birth (dystocia). When we received the phone call us vet nurses on duty already had a feeling that things weren't right. Her tummy was massive and I couldn't feel anything moving inside.
She was given a few needles to help her along. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful so we decided to perform a Caesarean. Upon opening her up this black-green fluid oozed out with her blood and placenta. The smell wasn't right. We quickly removed the pups, cleaned them up and tried to revive all of them. They were cyanotic and the black-green fluid was all in and around their amniotic sac, after two hours of cardiac massage, CPR and rubbing vigorously it was clear they had suffocated in the mother's uterus.

All seven of them. :'(

We've had a case where an owner has neglected their dog so much that the dog developed gangrene on their leg and had to be amputated. We've had a cat die on the operating table. We've had a dog that had to be put down because the mouth was riddled with cancer. We've had owners come in and stolen from our charity box. We've had owners come in with their aggressive dog and scared the other owners off.

Things like these. There's not many words to describe it. Simply... heartbreaking would probably sum it up though. And with all this we have to remember to not judge these people that may have caused these things.

On a personal level, sometimes I feel like I haven't done enough to help the animal in question. I'd go home feeling guilty sometimes like I could have done more even if I really couldn't. I'd feel guilty sometimes too because I let it get to me and I shouldn't. And last of all, no matter how many times I've seen an animal die or get euthanised I still get a sinking feeling that I can't describe. I wonder if all vets/vet nurses feel this way too.

So I just wanted to point out seven small but crucial things you could do to help save your pet's life and help save you a lot of money at the vets.

Don't smoke near your pets. Animals are like humans if you wouldn't smoke near your children then don't smoke near your pets. We don't know how animals get cancer but generally thinking people and animals are quite alike so if we can get sick from inhaling smoke and smoking, don't you think animals can too?
Desex your pets. Desexing prevents cancer in reproductive organs, unwanted pregnancies, death through pregnancy and will help cut down numbers in council pounds significantly.
Get your dog/cat behaviour training. If your animal is misbehaving then getting them behaviour training can save their lives. Say that, God forbid, you've lost your dog/cat and the council picks up your pet, cannot contact you and is forced to rehome or euthanise your pet. A pet that is friendly and obedient is more likely to be rehomed. A pet that is aggressive or out of control is more likely be euthanised.
Vaccinate your pets! I cannot stress this enough! The viruses and diseases that your pets can catch are airborne, extremely contagious and, more often than not, fatal. In the field of scientific medicine, humans (being the selfish bastards that we are) have only really focused on cures for human diseases. Diseases like Cat Flu for cats and Parvovirus for dogs when contracted are debilitating, painful and have a minuscule chance of recovery. The treatment is usually expensive and/or unstable.
Worm your pets. This is especially important if you have a pet that lives outdoors.
Clean their teeth. Either with raw bones to chew on or with a specialised pet toothbrush/toothpaste.
Most important of all: do some research. It may sound boring but even a quick read on Google or Wikipedia about your pet's breed, nutritional needs, ideal toys, bedding and common parasites and diseases could serve your pet well in the long run.

See not so bad are they?! If you've checked off all of the things on this list then you don't have much to worry about except external parasites and allergies.

Now.. I shall leave you with reasons to show you why I love this industry. Why I wouldn't rather have it any other way. And why I put up with the things I do. :)

Hi agaiiiin.. Yeah, I know. 2 posts in one week; that's a multiple literary orgasm. :3

So in this post I wanted to talk about three things (yeah nearly every post has two things now; I like to multitask and this is the only time I have time to blog so bare with me here!).

Vegetarianism.
The Aroma Festival @ The Rocks (mostly photos of food really if you've seen in all on Facebook then just ignore this section)
Awesome places in Sydney!

I'll start with vegetarians and vegetarianism.
So despite thinking about it for a while now, I was watching the video up there (courtesy of MyChonny linking everyone on Facebook to it) and it made me think if some vegetarians think that eating animals is wrong and cruel because we're hurting them and they have feelings like we do then what if vegetables had feelings but can't express them? Wouldn't that be like eating a mute, paralysed mentally challenged animal that you assumed was dead but wasn't?! Now THAT'S cruel. D:
LOL Okay, I joke. And that sounded really bad but my point is vegetables and animals are both living things, aren't they? So I don't see why people use that excuse as a reason to become vegetarian. It's too basic and pedantic. If they said, "Well, I became a vegetarian for health purposes" or "I became a vegetarian to take a stand against how inhumanely farm animals that are bred for consumption are being treated" then I understand but just saying eating animals is wrong and against nature kinda annoys me. The way we kill animals is more humane than the way, say, a fox or lion would kill them so personally I don't think it's cruel. Things that are cruel in my mind include: letting animal based food go to waste and mistreating and wrongly caring for animals that are to become food.
This week I ate vegetarian food for 4 days so I thought I'd share a few of the best things about being vegetarian;

Awesome bowels. *thumbs up*
You feel lighter and less bloated.
It's cheap.
Fry's Vegetarian Schnitzel's!

These thing's are awesome! I had mine with Tzaziki and on the side a baked sweet potato with Flora Pro-activ (LOL My cholesterol isn't high; I just like the taste). I think I may live off these if I can fit enough in my freezer. :)

Oh, and Chocolate Avocado Mousse, Chocolate Avocado Pudding and falafels (all vegan friendly) would have to be another few of the highlights too.

Now, onwards to the Aroma Festival!
We spent about $150AUD mostly on food and chilli sauces because we love the heat in winter! The coffee sculpture was of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe. All in all, It was a delicious day of mostly nomming.

Q Station - Sydney Quarantine Centre that used to hold sick and/or mentally unstable migrants and natives. People died there and bad things happened to many of them. It's now a resort with restaurant and ghost/history tours. GOING THERE THIS HALLOWEEN I DON'T CARE IF ANYONE WHINGES THEY CAN STAY BEHIND! LOL
The Rocks - This is an obvious one but I love that there's always something happening there, that the shops are eccentric and that the food in that area is always so fresh and top notch. The architecture is also beautiful to take in and photograph. There's a very nostalgic old feel to everything.
[insert name] Korean BBQ @ Strathfield (FAIL! There's so many that I forgot the name of my favourite one but I remember where it is so I'll get back to you on that!) - The one I go to is basically an all you can eat for like $30 per person and the meat is really fresh and well marinated. The side dishes are made fresh and I loveeee the salads too!
Featherdale Wildlife Park - It's a real family environment and you get to get up close with the animals. I would choose this over Taronga Zoo because you don't get the same ambience and environment as you do here.
Blue Mountains - Next holidays hopefully.
~~Wonderland~~ Luna Park - Well.. Wonderland was better but this is the next best thing I guess? I mean it's the only functioning amusement park left in Sydney. Reading this still gives me the creeps though. In a good way. :3
Mt Pritchard St Vinnies - Shut up. They're awesome. I scored a $37AUD brand new pair of shoes with the tags on for $3AUD and a vintage dress for $5AUD. You don't find that shit anywhere else for that price and it goes to help the poor. WINWIN!
The Cat Protection Society - Rehoming cats and selling knic-knacs in the name of pussy. :)
Monika's Doggie Rescue - I haven't been to any of the shelters but it's a non-profit organisation that rescues dogs from death at council pounds and rehoming them. So if you're looking for a new puppy or dog then give them visit and avoid the petshops and breeders. They have a Cat Rescue counterpart too you can see more info here.
Magic Kingdom - Abandoned possibly haunted amusement park in Lansvale. Sounds to me like a fabulous photoshoot and ghost spotting opportunity. Anyone up for it; gimme a buzz.

10 Fantabulous Things About Winter.

For all the people that cannot see the wonders of winter!
I've composed a list of things to love. <3

In no particular order:

1. Strawberries. NOMNOMNOM! Strawberries are the sweetest and cheapest in winter because they are in season! Who the heck doesn’t like strawberries?! They’re also natural teeth whiteners, packed with antioxidants and vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese, folic acid, potassium, riboflavin, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, copper, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids. Basically anti-cancer, anti-ageing, low in calories and awesome in smoothies and desserts. So what’s stopping you?

2. WORKING OUT! Think logically people, you don’t sweat as much when you work out in winter and you’re less likely to overheat or get heatstroke. Working out in winter also gets your body ready for summer if you stick to your routine! Semi six-pack by November? Yes please!

3. We look good in winter. I luff winter clothes and accessories. Scarves, beanies, berets, gloves, boots and layers.. *content cheesy face* T’is no denying that it’s fun to dress up in winter. Ah! AND your make-up doesn’t melt in winter. :3

4. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate. This is probably the only season I drink these beverages and feel truly fulfilled. Nothing better than relaxing in warm blankets with a book and a hot cup of tea, hot chocolate or soy latte. <3 If you're not a hot beverage person then the pictures below may change your mind! ^^

5. Cuddling/Hugging! “I’m cold. HUG ME!” That’s been my Cameron’s excuse to cuddle/hug/hold hands since we first met. =________=;; I’ll never admit to him but I do quite enjoy it. Even animals use that as an excuse to express love so cuddle them too! LOL My two male guinea pigs share the same blanket so they gather all the shredded newspaper I give them in a corner on the blanket and huddle like two balls of floof. It’s cute.. but I think I may invest in a hot water bottle for them to sleep next to. xD

6. Cakes, pies, soups and stews. Winter cooking would have to be one of the easiest types of cooking. Most of it is simple, rustic, slowly cooked and just beautiful food. (It’s a bonus that the stove and oven warms up my house!)

7. Hibernating/sleeping. No sweating, throwing off the covers or struggling to fall asleep. I find I get sleepy so much easier in cold weather.

8. Long hair. It just goes with winter. Don’t ask. It’s kind of obvious; it keeps you warm. So just don’t cut your hair. LOL

9. SNOW! There’s not much in Australia but it still beats sand any day! Firstly, because it doesn’t get in your crotch area and irritate the fuck out of your genitilia and secondly, because if it gets in your food it just melts and you don’t feel like you’ve just licked a rock from some desert.

10. Have you noticed winter is so much more quiet? I don’t know why. Maybe cold weather prevents assholes and whores from leaving their homes because it’s too cold to wear trackies, singlets and skimpy clothing. *shrugs* No matter.

Oh, and because I love winter so much... I made mini sausage rolls with lovehearts on them. :)

NOMNOM? Yeah. Cameron thought so. Bastard ate all of them within 10 minutes of cooling. I had like.. 4 out of the 30 or so! LMAO

I'm going to the Aroma Festival at The Rocks tomorrow so I better catch some Z's! The Aroma Festival is basically an annual festival of domestically produced and internationally imported chocolate, coffee, tea and spices. It'll be held from 10am to 5pm tomorrow (25th July). So if you love the smell of fresh coffee, rich chocolate, exotic spices and buying from markets that sell awesome stuff that no one else has then get your butts there!

Personal life wise: Still halfway single-ish; halfway not. Basically, can't make up my mind about being in a relationship but still faithful to one person. Still studying and nursing at Memorial Ave Vet Clinic. Have taken up a part-time job on the side to support shopping addiction (mostly shoes and hand bags fetish) and pay for books. Complications with moving but other than that life is good really.

Entertain Yourself This Winter! (Ooh, that sounds naughty! xD)

DEAR ME! I seem to have abandoned this blog!
Never fear, I am settling down soon so I shall be able to blog more.

I've also added a few new links (Emmalina Vintage Jewellery and Cosmetics and GivesMeHope) to the side so check them out when you can!

It is now the holidays and Sydney has possibly never been colder. Lately it's been about 5°C or less nearly every morning! (Probably why KFC has just brought back their oh-so-yummy Hot 'n' Spicy chicken range; smart conniving devils. LOL) How I love winter! The hot chocolate, the warm stews and pies, the puff of smoke that comes out of you when you walk out of the house, the layers and layers of clothes, the cute scarves, beanies and berets.. Everything really! It's just beautiful (as long as it's not raining non-stop). ♥
I can see why people would despise or dislike this season but I also hope they can see the positives of it! I should write about the pros of winter. Actually I shall. in the next post! :D

Looks like I'll have to do some catching up so I shall add 2 entertainment reviews in this post! (YAY!)

First off, Get Him To The Greek; from Apatow Productions who made 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad. I watched this at Liverpool Greater Union cinemas last week with a couple friends and just could not stop laughing. Other than having Russel Brand (starring as kooky rockstar Aldous Snow) as a massive selling point I think the biggest surprise for me was P.Diddy. He's actually really funny! He stars as Sergio (head of a music production company) and probably has the best lines in the movie next to Russel Brand himself. I'd compare Get Him To The Greek to something like The Hangover. Basically, a bunch of hilarious random events that are mostly drug and alcohol induced.
You know what. Just watch it. LOL Then tell me how much you laughed. ;)

I've promised you this review for ages! FINAL FANTASY XIII! The problem is I haven't had time to finish it but from what I've played so far and with the typical save the world and save the girl storyline I think it's feeding fans what they want.
For me, personally, it's getting old. I'm over the whole generic party dynamics; cutesy girl (Vanille who is much like the irritating Rikku from FFX), stoic female (Fang who is very much like Lulu from FFX but with a strange almost bogan accent), high energy cool male (Snow who is much like Wakka from FFX), adorable child (Hope who is much like Vaan from FFXII), etc.
The only difference in FFXIII is that the main character, Lightning, is a female (who acts like she has a penis) and they have the first African-American character, Saszh, introduced into the party since Barrett from Final Fantasy VII.

"Hello. I'm Lightning.
The sword I hold is to make up for the penis I don't have.
No wait. I've got one. On my head."

What excited me about the game was the CG. It's beautiful I'll have to admit. Little out of proportion (how many girls are actually skinny and tall as Vanille?) but beautiful. OH! AND THE CHOCOBOS! Chocobos and cute sheep creatures! Shoosh. I have a thing for cute game animals. o_____o;;
All in all, I'd rate it a 6 out of 10? Fufills requirements but nothing special. Like watching a remake if an old movie but with better graphics plus a dumbed down and slightly varied storyline.Fans of FFXIII don't bitch at me about this. I'm not knocking the FF series or the game itself. It just wasn't as impressive as the hype made it seem. That being said.. I actually have the FFXIII faceplate for my xbox360. :|

Sorry, I haven't blogged for a while people. I haven't really kept to my deadlines too, have I? >____<;;
As usual I've been flooded with assignments and events. Getting my priorites straight and whatnot for all the years I haven't. :/

I've also had my heart broken. ♥ I won't say by who but they should know. It's made me wonder why is it so easy for people to say things they don't mean and why is it so hard for people say how they really feel? Hmm.. Human emotions and relationships are confounding and kinda stupid, aren't they? LOL

As I've promised I'll let you have a peek of what it's like to be a veterinary nurse. Some days might not be so in depth with detail but I'll try remember as much as I can.
Oh! And I have a few photos towards the end of the month because I found my camera. x3

Tuesday 2nd March, 2010: My first day at Memorial Avenue Veterinary Clinic (11 Maryvale Ave, Liverpool)! I arrived waaay to early by misjudging the bus timetable. Fuck. :|
The first animal I saw was a fat old ginger kitty that looks a lot like Garfield with an Elizabethan collar and drains in him to help him pee. He stayed overnight and despite being covered in urine he was really placid. :3
At mid-day we took in a Siberian Husky named Rambo for surgery and had a house call to see an old man and his dog with skin problems. Then I had a 3 hour break and got lost on the way back to the clinic. (Shoosh. I'm directionally challenged when it comes to navigating!)
When I got back the doctor got me to help hold a little Maltese dog while he "put it to sleep". Being the doofus that I am, I thought by "put to sleep" meant sedating so it would knock out. After the doctor told me to put it in a rubbish bag then into a freezer I got the shock of my life and realised what "put to sleep" actualy meant. That was my first euthanasia and I didn't even know it. :/
I cried in the shower that night... Because I'm a sook. x(
The rest of the afternoon was just lots of vaccinations and check ups. Most are free checkups from owners of animals purchased from Pets Paradise. At about 4pm we had a specialist come in to start orthopaedic surgery on Rambo the Siberian Husky. They were replacing his knee ligament. It was bloody and there were many bones sticking out. I was a tad queasy seeing it so up close.
Had to go home before the surgery finished because my mummy was calling me.

Friday 5th March, 2010: Got there too early again. *facepalm* Met the vet nurse that works there; her name is Joceline and she's really nice. :D Also met two other trainees; Mahtab and Alesha.
They had a problem with each other almost immediately. No idea why since they were both quite nice.. Just not to each other. LOL
We had to groom a poodle first thing in the morning after the cleaning and drapes. The owner wasn't happy with the end result. Must be a case of 'too many chefs spoil the broth' sort of thing. D:
I think there were about two desexings that day; both female? And we packed drapes and cleaned everything down. We also had a house call for euthanasia of this big old dog; looked like a bloodhound cross? The owner was devastated. I felt so bad for him... Yeah. I cried again. But this time I couldn't hold it in. Alesha looked emotionless. I realised then that they all look the same way during euthanasia. They collapse and lose all control of their functions. Sometimes they pee like this one did. Then they convulse a little. You can hear their last breaths; like the life is going out of them. It's not something pleasant to see. Not for me.
We had hot chips for lunch (I swear this was the day our bad eating habits started LOL) and vaccinations and consultations the rest of the afternoon. Talked a lot with Mahtab because Joceline went home early and Alesha was rude to Mahtab. Bought Gaytime for myself and Mahtab coz her mummy dropped me home. They're so cute! I'm glad I met her that day. ^^

Monday 8th March, 2010: It was Joceline's birthday todayyyy! I didn't know so I bought her a Gaytime. o____o;; There wasn't much today just a few desexings, vaccinations and consultations. A hell of a lot of cleaning. Mum took me to her house for dinner.

Saturday 13th March, 2010: 2 male cats desexed today. One beautiful Ragdoll with bright blue eyes named Romeo and my friend Mel's cute ginger kitty named Yugi. Not much else except consultations and vaccinations. Went home early with Mel and hanged with her talking about life. LOL

Monday 15th March, 2010: Not much today; a euthanasia of a cat (I've become slightly immune to it now if I don't look at the animal too much; it's still sad but I've learnt that you have to be cruel to be kind I guess), few desexings, vaccinations and consultations. I was starting to get the hang of everything. Pretty coooool! :D

Friday 19th March, 2010: The usual; a few desexings, a lot of vaccinations and consultations. Lots of cleaning and drapes. I think our autoclave was playing up too. My wisdom teeth were ripping out of my gums that day so I was in excruciating pain. :(

Monday 22nd March, 2010: Today we had a giant Rottweiler in for desexing and removal of her dewclaws. Heavy as hell and twice as cranky. She was pregnant.. So it was kinda like an abortion. The owners got annoyed because they didn't know she was carrying babies. Consultations and vaccinations again for most the day and I went to my mummy's after we finished up. I lived on Nurofen thanks to my wisdom teeth. =___________=;;

Friday 26th March, 2010: No surgeries today just grooming two fluffy-ass dogs. There was a Lhasa Apso named Fluffy and I fell in love with himmmm! He couldn't see anything LOL.

Monday 29th March, 2010: We had one desexing today and she was a Jack Russel cross. Happy little dog and I really liked her. Even after surgery she was wagging her tail and happy to see us. ^^

We also had another Maltese dog and a giant cat named Elvis in for grooming . I'm pretty sure it was a Maine Coon (Cameron's dying to get one) and it was bigger than the poor doggy that got desexed LOL! When we groom cats we have to knock them out with sedation but this one just would not stay down! Made life difficult for us too because he had quite a temper on him. D:

See! He's a big boy. We had difficulty coaxing him out to his owner too. So she came in and even that didn't work. Cranky bugger! Eventually the doctor squished him into his cat box and we gave him back. LOL

Well! That was my first month! This isn't even busy. April's been so busy that some days the appointment books are crammed with names upon names and double-booked. We've also had this Siberian Husky cross Malamute named Misty come in for surgery twice in a fortnight. Heavy dogs kill our life. Especially if they're aggressive. :/

Next post will have food and photos of my trip to Taronga Zoo with Cameron and my family. They're adorable. I'm glad my family likes him now but I can't stop wondering if this is all there is to our relationship. This week we've been on a break for a bit and I've considered seeing someone else (who was persistent and I still can't get out of my head) but I guess I'll always have a soft spot for Cameron so I don't think it would have worked the the other guy anyway. I hate this. I HATEEEEE being indecisive or unsure. I watched New Moon this week too and felt like kicking myself because the Edward-Bella-Jacob situation was like a constant reminder of how my love life is turning out.

Note to self; I need to lose 3-5 kilos before Famiza's wedding. I really don't wanna be a fat bridesmaid. LOL So I try to do 1 hour of cardio, 250 squats, 150 push ups and 1/2 hour of boxing a day. Too much? Nah. I seem to be building more muscle than losing weight though. >__<;;

Oy vey. My brain hurts now. Forgive any typos if you see any. ~~I should get something to eat.~~

It's finally the last day of March!

This month has been a one full of many discoveries for me. Makes me happy to have met the people that I have met this month, grown closer to the ones I've known over the years and gotten to know how some people really are. Cheers to that and good luck to the many friends moving on into the married life. (Just don't forget the friends you leave behind or who you were before marriage! :( )

Wii Fit or Wii Fat?

Sooooo, if I haven't told you already a month ago my boyfriend, Cameron, bought me a Nintendo Wii console with the Wii Fit Plus game and balance board.

Mostly because I've been whining about how fat I feel lately since I've moved back to Liverpool. (For obvious reasons, jogging in my area involves coming home with syringes, dead roaches and the smell of piss in the crevices of my sneakers. Not pleasant!) Oh, and I helped him with a work PowerPoint presentation.

Anyhow, I thought I'd finally do the game review on it. And referring to the title; yes. Wii Fat. The name Cameron has given the Wii Fit Plus since he keeps gaining weight every time he weighs himself on it. It's not surprising since he rarely plays it or exercises because he is much too ~~lazy~~ tired. ;P
What did surprise me though is that it does works... To a degree.

I've been trialling it intensely these past two weeks and I've lost probably on a estimate a kilo a week. Pretty cool, huh? The catch is, you need to do at least 45 minutes to an hour almost daily to see any results and eat healthy. (I usually do 2 hours on my days off because I'm so damn bored and I don't want to do my assignments. I also ate a lot of seafood and chicken compared to red meat. Though I have to admit I still ate a bit of junk food. Especially when I'm at the vet clinic. Joceline and I like to go for hot chips, chocolate or ice cream a lot because it's convenient.)
So far I've done about 15 hours and 17 minutes on the game. The workouts I did were a combination of the aerobic workouts (55%), muscle workouts (30%), training plus workouts (15%). I don't bother with Balance games because I'm too un-co for it. LOL
By far Rhythm Boxing and Jogging are my favourites. I used to like Rhythm Kung Fu till I got bored of it. x)

There's about 4 main characters the whole game; the female personal trainer, the male personal trainer, the talking balance board and the FitCash piggy bank which changes colour when you reach a certain amount of hours in the game (mine is bronze :| ). The talking balance board sounds like a female Japanese tourist... and the personal trainers get minor haircuts occasionally. I was amused when I first found out! LOL It came up on Facebook when I was talking to a friend about me being paranoid if they had haircuts and she assured me they did. Mind. Blown. :O

Ah, and I think I might have had a teeny crush on my male personal trainer when he first got his haircut.
I was like, "Heyyyyy.. I think you look different today... :/ ........I LIKE! ;) "
Haha. I showed Cameron and he was like, "WTF?! That's not fair! MY GIRL TRAINER ISN'T HOT!"

All in all; fun way to kill boredom and lose weight or tone up. Though I'd rather be playing Raving Rabbids: TV Party. Hmm... Next game review maybe?
I'll think about it. It's that or Final Fantasy 13. We shall see!

Of Rabbits and Rainbows.

Okay, I'm back to normal. No more bitter angsty Meryx. :)

Just wanted to share another scrumptious pic from EpiCute and my monthly book review.

Lucky for you guys this month I'm presenting you with two books to celebrate! Yes, two!
~~But to be fair they aren't novels so, hey, I'm cheating a little.~~
The two books I want to talk about are The Suicide Bunnies Sequels; i.e The Book of Bunny Suicides and Return of the Bunny Suicides. Both by genius comic illustrator Andy Riley (the mind behind the likes of Great Lies to Tell Small Kids; which is also very funny).

If you know me then you'd know I love cute cuddly animals but I also love anything morbidly humorous and these books are exactly my kind of books because they have both aspects! (Think Happy Tree Friends or Gloomy Bear.)

I was fifteen when I discovered the first book one evening in Liverpool Library. Searching for a Manga, I somehow came across this instead and just sat there engrossed in it, trying not to LOL and make horrified faces at the little book. Cameron came over to ask what was wrong and I showed him the one page where he made a face similar to mine, cracked up laughing and grabbed a copy to look at for himself.

The books' are compilations of simple comical illustrations with cute little bunny rabbits finding creative ways to end their life. It's such a sick concept but I can't help but sniggle, snort and gasp in horror at/with the bunnies. It's like responses from "Awww.. D: " to "Oh my God, NO! :O "
I don't think I've had so much mixed emotions about a picture book before. LMAO!

Not for everyone but make what you will of it. I think it's adorable.. and gross. So I'm buying the box set off Amazon or eBay as soon as possible. Then I shall stick it on my coffee table so I can intrigue waiting visitors. :)

The next entry I'm posting is the game review for Wii Fit. Should see if we have good results or not (for the game and my waistline).

Sorry but I'm just sick of doing everything for everyone to help them feel better or patronise me with their whining about the stupid trivial things that happen in their goddamned lives like it's so much harder than everyone else's. Don't use the 'treat others the way you want to be treated' shit on me because I won't if you won't.

Everyone has fucking problems so don't assume I don't have any because I don't whine about it like you fuckers do. I have the mental and physical scars to prove it but I cover them up with make-up, clothes and smiles everyday.

Maybe I'm just tired and angsty but maybe I'm right.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular because if it was then I've already decided tonight to stop making the effort with them.

Oh, I just wanted to announce that instead of writing about my first week or first day I'll just wrap it up as a first month report of my veterinary nursing training. Trust me. It really opens up your eyes when you have an inside peek into this line of work. Makes you really appreciate medical science, human nature and what God gives us so stay tuned for that.
Highlighting tutorial is most likely next month. I'm reclaiming my Photoshop work back somehow. You wait and see! *determined face*

Okayyyyy, since I promised you all your articles I wanted to get straight into Beauty & Fashion for this month. Then I'll tell you about my first week training @ Memorial Avenue Veterinary Clinic in the next entry.

First off this month's Beauty article; I wanted to briefly focus on body art.

Define: body art; is the aesthetic application of body modification.
I.e: Tattoos, piercings, scarification, branding, etc. But I'm mostly going to talk about tattoos and body piercings. So I've noticed over the past few years tattoos and piercings are becoming slowly but increasingly accepted in today's society... Which is fantastic! I love itttt! ♥
At one point, I used to be a little worried about being rejected at job interviews because I have tattoos on my wrist (2 Koi fishes: a black one facing down and a white one facing up to symbolise balance & growth, basically a daily motivational reminder whenever I need it). Especially with the vet nursing industry because stereotypically you're supposed to look like a saint but to my surprise I walk in to apply for my training and the veterinarian had a little tattoo on his wrist himself and he was very welcoming! *facepalm* You have no idea how relieved I was! And I also realised that I've never actually recieved any bad comments about my tattoos at all; neither has my boyfriend and he's a store manager with a semi-sleeve and chest piece. On the contrary, we receive a fair few compliments! LOL!

Anyhow, being someone with 6 piercings and considering a lot more tattoos when I can afford it, I just love the idea that every other lawyer or teacher has some ink or the odd piercing here and there. I mean it's not completely accepted by everyone, given since there are range of distasteful piercings and tatts as much as there are good ones, but I'd say society is progressing slowly into individualism and being open to different views of what beauty is. It's a refreshing thought, don't you think? :)

Here are a few photos of tattoo designs and piercings that I quite like.

If anyone reading this in Sydney is interested in getting needled with ink or bling then head to the Sydney Tattoo & Body Piercing Expo at Sydney Olympic Park this weekend (6th-8th March). I was so excited to go but Cameron is going away to work @ Melbourne for a while so I don't want to go without him since he likes tattoos as much as I do. There's going to be tattoo artists and piercers from all over, pin-up girl contests and photography, tattooing equipment, cars, bands, burlesque performances, alternative fashion, out there hair products, plus much, much more. Entry is $20 per adult for a single day. So, if you can, please get your asses there and tell me how it is! TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM, PEOPLE! LMAO!

Now! Onto Fashion!

The look that has surprisingly gotten my vote this month is.. brace yourselves.. leopard prints. Hear me out, it's not like tacky cougar/prostitute sort of shizz. I'm talking about accenting your outfits with it. Steer away from top to toe leopard prints and nasty-looking badly tailored dresses and pants but head more towards the shoes, belts, faux fur trims and various accessories. Generally teamed with cream, black or grey. What I've been wanting for ages now is leopard print hair extensions! It's a different take on the coon-tail extensions and I wannnttt! Only problem is that it's kinda hard to get your hands on them. You have to either order from online hair supply shops, buy on Etsy, go to Newtown in Sydney or make your own. I hate travelling for things so over the holidays I hope I have time and money to either buy online or make my own. :|

Ah! And what I've personally have been smitten with is the snow leopard design/tone. Mostly because the snow leopard is my favourite animal ever and the grey (being such a versatile shade) goes together with a lot more colours than the traditional gold-ish colour. Being colder in Sydney now too I think the snow leopard theme suits the season. Probably even more so when winter hits. :D

Oh, and two massive no-nos with leopard prints I want everyone to know (if it wasn't obvious already) is please don't clash/mix it with other trends/patterns and don't wear leopard prints with leopard prints. Common sense.

Speaking of cold, aren't woolen leggings a godsend?! They're so warrrrrmmmmm! Also, closed heels and boots! Gotta love them now more than ever. Replacing my peep-toes and sandals with classic closed heels will be easy because they're so simple & versatile that I can wear them in nearly every colour. I'm thinking a nice yellow or pink to bring some sunshine and love to my lately dark-toned wardrobe and sunless weather. Best thing about closed heels is anyone can wear them because they suit everyone whereas wedges and peep-toes can make certain people look just out of proportion. Ankle boots have really grown on me lately too. And I find that I'm bringing out my fingerless gloves and arm warmers again now. More reason to love the chill temperatures coming our way!

Hi all!

I'm announcing that (even though I know not many people read this shit) I'm gonna start putting up deadlines for myself to blog about certain topics as well as still blogging about my humble life events. This is mostly to recount as notes to myself really but if it helps anyone else out there on the world wide web then that's a bonus.

These topics that I am talking about are;

Games: This is a no-brainer since I've always been a game geek. A game review once every 2 months or once every month if you're lucky.
Literature/Books: Also, a no-brainer since I'm also a massive bookworm. :|
A book review/obscure word definition every 2 months or every month if you're lucky.
Food & Recipes: These entries will include either best ingredients, what's in season, recipes. All recipes will have a photo of the dish to prove I actually tried and tested them myself. :)
Expect an entry once every month.
Beauty & Fashion: These entries will include either make-up tutorials, nails, my favourite make-up look/colour/item of clothing for every month (Note that my fashion sense is a mix of vintage, boho, alternative and just plain quirky but if it looks good and I like it then I'll write about it.) Expect an entry once every month.
Pets: Since I am training to become a vet nurse I might as well write advice on how to look after them and about specific breeds of companion animals. Expect an entry once every month.
Art/Photography Request Progress: For my lovely DeviantArt watchers/requestees. They can track their progress on the progress bar on the right side. Updated every month. <3

Of course, if I am busy or have no access to cameras/computers I shall tell you all. All these entries are to be put into process starting next week so stay tuned.

I still owe everyone a make-up highlighting tutorial. This will definitely be the first thing I do when I get my own laptop/PC instead of having to share my boyfriend's like I am now. So all tutorials and recipes are on hold for now. I swear when I get my laptop I really wanna get a skin for it! :<

Oh! Nearly forgot! First game review will be on the Wii Fit Plus because I just got it! Cameron bought it for me because I helped him do his corporate Powerpoint. AND! I'm working in the veterinary clinic near my parent's house in 2 days! :)

First off; photoshoot fully fucked. Cancelled because I had a cold sore JUST the night before the shoot. LIKE WTF, MAN!? You had a whole week to be sick had to be JUST before the photoshoot, ay?! Ah well, the photographer looked a bit like a creep anyway. :/
So I gave up on it. Maybe on modelling in general. Blergh. Excuse my emo-ness.

Moving on. I really want to make plushies, soap and cute keychains. And open an online shop. Always have but never had enough motivation. Might sit down and make some today. :3
And I'll be girly and do make-up, facemasks, manicures and sing in a high pitch too. Sounds like a fun day.

I was just watching Rage. A TV show that matches my mood. LOL And yep I've been waking up 5am-7am ALLLLL this week. Could be coz I'm eating semi-vegetarian. Dying for a bleeding big-ass Hog's Breath steak though. Haha!

Now I'm off to sing and dance like a freak. Fuck yeah. *thumbs up*

Well, things have turned brighter faster than I expected!
First, Cameron felt bad and went to buy me an umbrella after he saw me sulking and writing the last post so *thumbs up* to that.

And LOL Well... I've been confirmed to model for a photoshoot soon! Gothic lolita and vintage pin-up style! Yeah. Ha! So nervous. Dancing with joy on the inside though. :3

Now to go and resign my lease in bad weather. Did I mention my laptop cursor is a banana peeling and eating itself for some reason? :/

Yeah. That means I will again lack sleep. And can you believe my place has no umbrellas? Thanks to that same fuckface that's snoring right now. He left it at work.
Tomorrow, I will have to walk in the rain to the station and catch a train to Cabramatta. Lovely. And TAFE is in 2 days. First time I will ever use this phrase: FML.

Oh, did I forget to mention that I finally finished reading the oh-so-famous Twilight by Stephenie Meyer? (I borrowed it from my sister, Angela. <33)

Yep, a majority of my friends will hate me for this because they think Twilight is a sinnnn... (And a minority of them will hate me because this is a scathing review.) But they also know that the only time I have to read Twilight when I'm taking a shit. Sorry that it sounds crude but that's the only time it's worth! I know there's a whole saga but after reading the first book it's clear to me that I won't be able to tediously read and shit my way through another 3-4 books.

To sum it up; it's poorly written, repetitive in descriptions and lacks an original storyline. If you like Twilight you'd probably also like the fantasy fan fictions found on DeviantArt written by hormonal, naive, sexually frustrated, low self-esteemed teenage girls. It's kinda smutty in my opinion. :/

In defence of Edward Cullen, he would be hot if Bella Swan didn't keep unrealistically glorifying him every two fucking seconds and if he didn't SPARKLE! Ah, and I love Alice, Emmet and Carlisle too. :3

LASTLYYYYY, the movie.. made it worse. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart does no justice to the characters whatsoever. Made me loathe them even more.
I don't need to tell you how I feel about Jacob/Taylor Lautner. *faints*
He's yummy we all know it. Even the Twilight haters know it. So don't deny it! x)

Weddings, Reunion and Resolutions.

Hello readers! ~~(Not many; if any!)~~

Sorry guys; still no highlighting make up tutorial and finished artworks because I still do not have a computer. I broke my promise but with good reason, agree? I'll make it up to you guys when I do get another comp. =____=;;

Moving on, as always I've been pretty busy lately and if you know me then you would know I hate being busy. And social. And computer-less. Nonetheless, I've managed to find rentals for a new apartment, visit family, re-enrol in 2 courses for this year, spring-clean the house (to come back to it trashed again), go to a wedding, help plan for another wedding and go to a reunion. Yes. Wedding AND a reunion.

First the wedding! The wedding was for my one of my bestest friends; Fatima. I love her to bits but I almost didn't recognise her without her hijab (head scarf) when she walked in! She's always been beautiful, inside and out, but no word could describe how amazing she looked that night. She wore a white crystal-embedded strapless western-styled dress and she had a cute tiara too! Amaan, her husband, escorted her to her throne on the stage next to her monther (yeah, like a princesss! *squeal*). :3
It was a segregated Islamic wedding. Women @ one venue and men @ another. The groom and the men would drop the women off at their venue and the women would close all the doors and windows so no one can see inside. Then they all took of their scarves and changed into whatever they wanted to wear! Awesome, right? I bumped into Mona, her older sister, and also nearly didn't recognise her. Allll her sisters were drop dead gorgeous that night too! LOL They have really good genes and fashion sense. Though I suspect Fatima had a hand in helping them choose their dresses; being the fashionista/beauty guru she is. ;P
She called me up to sit on stage with her and we hugged and chatted. I felt like crying because I was so happy and nervous for her. She deserves all the best things and this is such a big step in life. :') ........And because I feel like a 1/4 life crisis is coming onto me soon. It sunk in that a majority of us turn 20 this year. We're not teens anymore! :(
After a few really adorable and touching speeches from her sisters and sister-in-law (tear-jerking Hallmark moments!), Greek, Indian and Lebanese food was served. I wanted to live on the Tzatziki, rice and grilled spiced chicken. Follow up with a change into Indian wedding clothes for Fatima (equally as beautiful as the wedding dress) and lots of dancing. And crying. And hugging. And more crying. ><;;
Overall, I'd have to say it was one of the most culturally enriching events I've ever been to in my life. In my diary I've actually written like... 5 pages describing the whole thing in detail but you get the idea. :D

Now the reunion! My beloved primary school captain Tracy decided to host one @ Mounties. Just to fill you in, I went to Mount Pritchard Public School and it was the worst 5-6 years of my life next to highschool. I had an almost-monobrow, was about 15kgs overweight, dressed like a boy and looked like a troll. I was pushed around by kids a lot; shaping me into the defensive semi-bitch I am now. :|
Little had to be said of how I feel about some of the people I expected to turn up but it turned out quite good actually. Seeing how well people are doing in life (or at least how happy they are) is reassuring in many ways.
And hell! MOUNTIES HAS CHANGED! :O
Everything has moved and it's MASSIVE now! They've got event photographers, a DJ, a dance floor, a veranda area thing; the works, really. Their food was good too! My buddy Laura and I had grilled salmon. WINNNNN! Totaaalllyy going back with the boyfriend. I'm gonna demolish the buffet food next time.

Now, I've told you all the good stuff; there's always a catch to something that you think is going better than it should for you, right? RIGHT YOU ARE! That night I was on about 3 hours of sleep thanks to my eBay Polaroid camera obsession bidding (I won that darned thing for $30, thank you very much!) so I was nodding off in a few conversations and half way through sitting outside with everyone got excruciating pains in my abdominal area. I, thinking it was hunger pains, was like, "Fuuuuuck this! I gotta eat!" But.. I'd be wrong. I'm female. If it's not hunger pains then you can guess what the other pain is... Luckily, it was just a smidgen of blood. Followed by nothing but more excruciating pain for the next two days. Oh, the joys of being born with no penis and a larger brain than those with one. NOT! BEING A GIRL SUCKS! :(

Funny thing, also, is that most of our conversations at reunion were about turning gay or becoming the opposite sex. Go figure, ay? The main question thrown around was who would you turn gay for? The answers received were quite.. peculiar. We had Hamish Blake, Catherine Zeta Jones (whom I answered), Bella from Twilight (though it wasn't serious), Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba's body (headless) and Nala from Lion King. WTF? LMAOOO!

Anyhow, this reunion thing has made me think that I should really go over my New Year's resolutions/to-do list. So here they are in no particular order;

Save up to go to Thailand @ the end of the year. Have relatives I want to see before they... well.. die. - $2000
Save up for Taronga Zoo Roar & Snore - $480
Do my best in the vet clinic and @ TAFE! (Credit or distinction again pleaaaase!)
Go to the doctor.. more often. (My mum made me get 3 vaccines and a pap smear in one day because of my lack of visits! It was painful and violating..)
Get fit! Develop awesome abs! Get a Wii Fit.. Use the stairs... Shit like that. x)
Go fishing/camping/caravanning/roadtripping.. Poke some nature and whateverrr.
Go clubbing. Yes, I've been over 18 for a year and a bit now and have not been clubbing. :|
Like I hate the scene and whatever but try everything once, y'know?
Go to a concert! (I'm set on The Fray @ Luna Park. Because I fucking love themmm! <3) - $200
Cosplayyy! :D
Regain my sleeping patterns! This is crucial.
Invest in the natural cosmetic making and plush doll making hobbies I've put on hold for the past year.
Settle down in a good apartment. Preferably with air con and fly screens, the very least.
Have an official engagement party. Or just dump him. Don't ask. It's complicated! All my friends are getting married and I was engaged before all of them! It's like bridesmaid syndrome. I'll be an old spinster; barren with no children (not that I want any.. eww..) or a crazy cat lady. :(

OH! And! I recommend you people watch P.S. I Love You! It's bloody adorable. If you like cutesy romance movies like Bridget Jones' Diary, Marley & Me, Love Actually, stuff like that. :)

After watching many British films and comedies and hearing the word so many times I began to wonder what it meant so I looked it up:

Anyhow, this week.. Socially productive and semi-art productive. I've managed to go scare myself in cinemas watching Paranormal Activity with Fatima at Westfields, visit Cameron's mother in jail without sleep, burn a "G" on my arse from my Dolce&Gabbana handbag (which had been sitting in a hot car) and almost finish my Zack request before my graphics tablet started being all twitchy. I guess in the last post I was celebrating karma too soon. Though I am still very content so never fear; I shall continue my semi-productivity!

Also, I finally watched Flubber (insanely cute; I don't know why I was a stupid kid and didn't want to watch it when I was younger) and SiCKO by Micheal Moore today. Makes you appreciate the Australian healthcare system, really. Apparantly, America has to pay ludicroulsy large amounts of money for medical attention and drugs. So basically poor people HAVE to die. :/

What has the world come to when fellow men can not/do not want to help each other in situations of life and death?

Mocha Oreo Milkshakes Are LOVE!

Indeed they are. I just made one. Up your daily chocolate and dairy intake and make yourself one.

Mocha Oreo Milkshake
Serves 2-3

Ingredients:
Handful of Oreo sandwich cookies
2 cups of milk
1 scoop of Vanilla ice cream
1 scoop of Chocolate ice cream
2-3 tbs of instant coffee powder
Whipped cream

Bash the Oreos and chuck them into blender with the instant coffee powder then add all the wet ingredients.
Blend till everything mixes, is frothy and the Oreos are broken up enough to your preference. Personally I like them chunky and eat them with a spoon.
Serve immediately in a tall glass with whipped cream and crumbled Oreos on top. Don't forget ye straws and fancy little dessert spoons.

Alas, the Christmas holidays arrive and I sit here eating my semi-warmed up Quarter Pounder and fries pondering about life to the mellow tunes of Jason Mraz. (Thanks for the CD Spottledock!)
Despite how simple or crummy this sounds to many others I am quite content. I've finished the first part of my Veterinary Nursing course (Animal Studies - Certificate II) and landed a work placement gig with a veterinary clinic nearby. Also, deleting all the people that have greatly annoyed me off Facebook regularly is empowering and positive, I find. I feel like my love, family and social life has been very enriching lately too. I've just had my 4 years Anniversary on the 28th November, I'm on good terms with my family, I've made many new friends this year and reconnected with many old ones. Surprisingly, I'm even in high demand of advice (animal, beauty, food and relationship-wise) and hanging out with various groups of people! All of which are inspiring to be around. Looking 2-3 years back it was the complete opposite! It seems life is finally coming together and making sense.
Anyhow, I don't know where all this good Karma is coming from but I likey! :D

I just want to tell anyone that feels uninspired, unhappy, unwell with their lives right now that it WILL get much better if you let it. Personal growth comes from within and YOU (believe it or not) will be the strongest, most beautiful and inspiring person you've ever met if you let yourself be that. Be the better person in your life people. Love, happiness, compassion and good intentions will only come to you if you exude it yourself. ♥

Speaking of Karma! I still need to contact St Vinnies. but I shall be giving up my Christmas to my family this year. My father and uncle are going to stay at the temple for a Buddhist tradition so I shall help make food for them with my grandma and for the week that they are there I will eat vegetarian (possibly vegan even) for 7 days of next month. It's a small contribution but I'd like to think it will save a few animals from .. well.. me. LOL

OH! Art news! Sorry requests and art trades! I've been flat out with assignments and exams the past few months but all that has ended for now and I promise these holidays will be a productive one! Movember shoot I did for fun to raise awareness for male cancer will be posted on Deviantart soon enough, along with various contest entries and finished requests.

Yo ho, Yo ho, A pirate's life's for meeee!

Sorry, just getting into the spirit of the new craze which is Facebook Pirate English.
I've even bought a pirate hat and piratey shirt with Spottledock! xD
Oh yes! Frogs! I felt like discussing frogs today because they seem to be popping up everywhere! The McDonald's Rainforest Alliance coffee logo, frog prints on my eco-friendly toilet paper, Freddo, Kerropi, Kermit, Kiera Knightley! Wait no, she looks more a like an emaciated lizard.
Anyhow, they must be a placebo symbol for environmentally friendly and safe when in real life they're actually just slimy and could be poisonous. I don't have much love for frogs except real life ones that don't shit poison at you, Geoffrey (my fat round fluffy frog plushie I got from Toys 'R' Us) and the midget Kerrori I got from Capitol Square.

Okay enough random-ness! The latest news is:

The Halloween party got cancelled by a frog named Cameron; the non-eco friendly kind that pollutes the environment with his smoking and excessive farting and whose favourite colour is ironically green (Haha, I joke, I still love ya), my family is too stingey to hold the Pink Ribbon Breakfast, I got real sick again and now I have guinea pigs. Don't you just love how I summed that up? LOL Also, I'm pretty sure I'll start work at St. Vinnies in a month or so.
